Behar International Counsel, PLC was founded by attorney Giacomo Behar in 1993 in San Diego, California. Giacomo is himself an immigrant who arrived in San Diego  33 years ago from Switzerland to obtain a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree in the USA. Here is what Giacomo Behar says of himself:

"With now 22 years of practicing experience, I dedicate my practice exclusively to U.S. Immigration and Nationality law.  Immigration Law is Federal & therefore uniform throughout the U.S.  A world traveled multilingual polyglot, I am FLUENT in seven (7) languages: Spanish, French, Italian, Turkish, Hebrew, German and of course, English.  For the last 22 years I take pride in having assisted clients in most of these languages, on an almost daily basis." 

Mr. Behar is a Certified Specialist in Immigration & Nationality Law, certified by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization. He works with his partner, California licensed attorney Tatyana A. Edwards-Behar, who is also a Certified Specialist in Immigration & Nationality Law, certified by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization. Tatyana's speciali in deportation defense and is an expert in complex political asylum issues from Russia, Ukraine and other FSU republics. 

Both Giacomo and Tatyana partake in community service. Tatyana is a co-Chair of Asylum Liaison Committee of San Diego AILA. Giacomo is a regular contributor on Avvo. He was selected as a "Top Contributor", "Clients' Choice" and "Superb" attorney on Avvo.com  in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
