Bee Hive Homes Southwest operates in the individual and family services sector, providing assisted living in a home-like setting. Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the organization emphasizes caregiver-supported living, meals prepared on site, and activities designed to support residents' independence, all with an aim of affordable care. Its offerings are geared toward elderly individuals and their families seeking a comfortable, community-oriented environment where family participation is welcome.

The concept originated in 1987 when founder Twayne Walker built a residence for his mother to address her needs and affordability concerns; this approach was later expanded by Jay Manning to locations across Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico. As part of its network, Bee Hive Homes emphasizes comfort, security, and social engagement for residents through structured programs and community involvement. A 2023 development noted in the information was the expansion of memory care services in Lakeville, Minnesota, signaling growth beyond the Albuquerque area.
