The Beaufort County Economic Development Corporation is the lead entity for organizing, structuring and leading economic development efforts on behalf of Beaufort County.  Our vision is to recruit new private investment, create more job opportunities for residents, diversify the economy and create a healthier tax base within the community.  

Beaufort County is comprised of the towns of Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Port Royal and the City of Beaufort.  Not only is Beaufort County a beautiful community to visit and reside in, but it is quickly becoming a business destination.  The favorable location provides close proximity to The Port of Savannah and The Port of Charleston; along with two local airports - Hilton Head Airport and Beaufort County Airport.  Beaufort County's positioning between Boeing in Charleston and Gulfstream in Savannah has also placed it amongst an Aerospace hotbed.  With the presence of University of South Carolina-Beaufort, the Technical College of the Lowcountry, and on average 2,100 exiting military annually; employers are finding a skilled workforce ready to fuel growth.
