My consulting practice is focused exclusively on nonprofits and I bring a perspective that includes fundraising, health & human services, grant making, and government programs.  Since 2001, I have served as chief financial officer (full-time, part-time, interim, and advisory) for a number of nonprofit organizations in San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles.

A primary function of my work has been to assist various boards in carrying out their governance responsibilities.  To that end I use develop a collaborative and informed process that maintains focus on the board’s collective and individual duty of care and duty of loyalty.
