Beamdog is a Canadian video game studio based in Edmonton, Alberta. It was founded by veteran developers Trent Oster and Cameron Tofer and has grown to be one of the larger studios in the province. Since 2009, its team has produced original content and engineered enhanced editions of classic games, notably reviving Dungeons & Dragons RPGs like Baldur’s Gate and Planescape: Torment for desktop, tablets and modern consoles. The studio releases titles across a broad range of platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. Beamdog serves fans of role-playing games and classic titles seeking refreshed experiences across devices. It operates in the computer games industry by reviving beloved titles and creating new experiences, such as MythForce. In 2025, Beamdog released MythForce 1.2, a substantial update featuring hero customization, with a cross-platform launch planned for June 26.
