Growth and expansion Baw Baw Shire Council is a growing local government with expansion projects in infrastructure (bike pump track), recreation (playground upgrades), and new service delivery (Food Organics and Garden Organics). This indicates ongoing capital expenditure and opportunities for suppliers in construction, waste management, and environmental services.

Digital modernization The council uses a modern tech stack including Module Federation, Microsoft Azure, Stripe, Mimecast, Imperva, and a presence on collaboration and media platforms. This suggests ongoing needs for cloud services, cybersecurity, integration, e-commerce capabilities, and digital transformation partners.

Strategic leadership Recent appointment of a new Director of Customer and Corporate Services signals potential realignment of priorities in customer service, finance, and corporate operations, creating opportunities for ERP, CRM, financial software, and process optimization solutions.

Community-funded projects Funding for playground upgrades and e-waste recycling units demonstrates a focus on community welfare, sustainability, and waste management. Potential opportunities exist for vendors in recycling technologies, environmental services, grants-compliant procurement, and public engagement platforms.

Job market and events Active recruitment efforts and attendance at local employment expos indicate ongoing hiring and workforce development initiatives. This creates potential for HR tech, recruitment services, learning and development platforms, and training partnerships.
