Bavaria is a beer producer based in Lieshout, North Brabant, Netherlands, operating in the food and beverage services sector. Its origins trace to 1719 with founder Laurentius Moorees; the business expanded under Jan Swinkels, leading to a larger brewery by 1924 and a bottling plant added in 1933. A malting facility built in 1910 continues to supply malt to Bavaria and other breweries, and the company remains under Swinkels family leadership into the seventh generation. Bavaria now serves a global market, with production surpassing 600 million litres annually and distribution to more than 100 countries, making it the second-largest brewery in the Netherlands. As a sizable Dutch brewery, it operates with integrated production that includes its own maltings and maintains a careers portal for potential hires.
