We focus our approach on rural women of the Least Developed Countries. ‘Barefoot Solutions’ include the delivery of Solar Electrification, Clean Water, Education, and Livelihood Development. We train women worldwide to become Solar Engineers, Innovators and Educators; they return to their villages with the hope of light and livelihood for their communities. We strongly believe in empowering women to become agents of sustainable change within their communities. Barefoot College International has designed ways to nurture and support a journey towards educating, enabling and empowering one woman at a time, one village at a time.
