BalletNova Center for Dance is dedicated to excellence in dance education, performance, and community engagement. For over four decades, we've nurtured dancers in a positive, supportive environment, preserving the rich traditions of classical ballet, while embracing contemporary styles. Our mission is to inspire and educate through high-quality performances and comprehensive training programs that are accessible to all. We offer a rigorous pre-professional ballet curriculum, enhanced with Modern, Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop classes—helping young dancers grow in both skill and confidence. BalletNova also has one of the most comprehensive adult dance programs in the DC Metro area, with beginner through advanced classes in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop. Led by Artistic Director Matthew Powell, an acclaimed dancer and choreographer, our international faculty includes professionals from Taiwan, Chile, Great Britain, Argentina, Brazil, and Turkmenistan, trained at top institutions in the US and around the world. Our 20,800 square foot space in Falls Church, VA, features fully equipped studios available for classes and rentals to the artistic community.
