Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) is a nonprofit organization in the civic and social sector based in Washington, District of Columbia. It is run by autistic people and seeks to advance disability rights principles as they relate to autism, drawing on cross-disability perspectives on inclusive education and community living supports. The organization promotes neurological diversity and aims for a world in which autistic people have equal rights, access, and opportunities, rather than a goal of eradicating autism, and it works to organize autistic adults and youth to inform national conversations about the community.

ASAN operates across public policy, media representation, research, and systems change to empower autistic people worldwide to take control of their lives and the future of their community. In January 2026, ASAN announced the launch of an autistic Barbie, reflecting its efforts to broaden representation in mainstream culture.
