Founded in 1999 by the Eaton Steel Company to serve as a premier steel carrier in the Midwest, Atlas has grown to serve Eaton Steel as a customer and to build its own regional client base in Detroit and the Midwest. The company maintains a fleet of more than 260 trailers, including flatbeds, Conestoga trailers, step decks, and dry vans, enabling heavy haul, over-dimensional, and cross-border shipments. Atlas is privately owned and operates a 24/7 bilingual dispatch center with electronic logs on all equipment; it has an in-house safety department headed by a former driver, holds a satisfactory DOT rating, and received a platinum safety award from Great West Casualty Insurance Company. Its logistics division coordinates with vetted partner carriers and leverages experience in OTR, expedite, and cross-border shipments, making Atlas a transport partner for customers' shipping requirements.
