ATech Training, Inc. designs and manufactures instructional equipment and accompanying courseware used to teach automotive diagnostics and repair. Its trainers and courseware support hands-on learning across automotive OEM programs, secondary education, community colleges, the military, and technical schools. Headquartered in Walton, Kentucky, the company was founded in 1984 by two individuals seeking to raise automotive training standards in the United States. Fred Hines joined in 1986 as vice president of research and development and later became the sole owner in 1997, with CEO Laura Lyons providing leadership since that time. As a privately held firm focused on the design and manufacture of training equipment for automotive education, it earned CASE certification from ASE in 2005.
