The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA-CWA) is a labor union representing flight attendants, operating within the airlines and aviation sector. It serves as a collective voice for its members on workplace issues, industry matters, media representation, and policy discussions on Capitol Hill, with the aim of negotiating better pay, benefits, working conditions, and safety for flight attendants. Based in Washington, DC, the organization supports flight attendants across numerous carriers and emphasizes democratic governance, with officers who are themselves flight attendants and member input gathered on policy and financial decisions. AFA-CWA collaborates with other labor groups through international bodies to share information and strategies, positioning itself as a national union focused on flight attendant concerns within the AFL-CIO and the broader international labor community. Recent activity includes pursuing legal action related to labor rights concerns and ongoing partnerships with carrier employees to support union representation and contract protection.
