The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG) is a voluntary coalition of local governments in the Central Oklahoma region, gathering more than 40 cities, towns, and counties across four counties: Oklahoma, Cleveland, Canadian, and Logan. It acts as a regional planning and coordination body, overseeing programs such as 911 ACOG, Central Oklahoma Clean Cities, the Central Oklahoma Economic Development District, and the Metropolitan Planning Organization. As a non-governmental unit, ACOG does not possess legislative, enforcement, or taxation powers. 

Founded in June 1966, ACOG is one of Oklahoma’s Councils of Governments and is part of a national network of planning organizations. It is based in Oklahoma City, with a regional staff size typical of a mid-sized public planning body. A recent development is the January 2025 release of the 2024 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy for the four-county CAPEDD, reflecting ongoing strategic work to shape the area’s economic future.
