The ASCM Houston Chapter is a regional educational organization that provides supply chain education and certification preparation in Houston and the surrounding area, serving since 1972. It has more than 900 members, the largest in the Terra Grande District, and is recognized as a leading chapter for supply chain education within ASCM's network of about 270 chapters. The chapter delivers two core offerings: formal education on operations and supply chain topics, including CPIM and CSCP certification classes and related workshops such as Lean Enterprise and Global Sourcing, and professional membership with networking opportunities through board meetings and district events; it also supports student activities and research, notably sponsoring the University of Houston's ASCM student chapter, the largest in the world. 

As part of the broader ASCM ecosystem, the Houston Chapter positions itself in the Education Administration Programs arena and operates as a Premier Elite APICS Training Partner, aimed at maximizing benefits from the APICS Body of Knowledge for organizations, employees, and individuals. In 2025, ASCM announced the Tariff Tracker, a development that reflects ongoing industry resources and initiatives aligned with the chapter's educational mission.
