ASAC provides prevention, treatment, and recovery services for substance use and gambling disorders in Iowa, delivered through a coordinated sequence of care that addresses diverse life-stage needs. Based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the organization serves a seven-county region and works with adolescents, pregnant women, mothers with children, and adults through a comprehensive, person-centered approach.

ASAC is licensed by the Iowa Department of Public Health and accredited by CARF, with funding provided by the Iowa Department of Public Health and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration through the Integrated Provider Network. The organization reaches more than 3,300 individuals annually across its service area. In May 2024, ASAC launched the New Beginnings program in Clinton, adding a partial hospitalization level of care.
