The Area Agency on Aging Region X is a small-to-mid-sized nonprofit based in Joplin, Missouri, serving Barton, Jasper, Newton, and McDonald counties. It traces its origins to a designation under the Older Americans Act in 1965 and has operated since 1979 to provide services, programs, and information that help older adults maintain independence and dignity.

Services are available to residents aged 60 and older within the service area, with priority given to those facing the greatest economic and social need. The organization also provides information and family caregiver services to people of all ages. In 2023, the agency partnered with Ozarks Food Harvest to expand access to resources for older adults.
