Arcade Comedy Theater operates as a nonprofit venue in downtown Pittsburgh, focused on live comedic performances. Founded in February 2013, it began as a small storefront converted into a 75-seat space, featuring a brick-walled backdrop and a notably tiled floor, with affordability at its core. In November 2017, the theater relocated to a renovated building at 943 Liberty Avenue, adding a second stage, a lounge, and dedicated classroom space to accommodate growth.
It aims to bring entertaining, accessible, and affordable live comedy to the Pittsburgh community on weekends. It operates as Pittsburgh’s only nonprofit theater devoted entirely to the comedic arts. In July 2018, Jay Evans was appointed as Board President, reflecting governance updates for the organization.
