Arabian Gulf University is a regional public higher education institution established in 1980 by the six GCC member states to supplement national universities and address strategic regional needs, and it is based in Manama, Bahrain. It comprises two colleges—the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences, which delivers an MD program grounded in problem-based learning and offers related master’s and PhD tracks in medical sciences, and the College of Graduate Studies, which provides master’s and PhD programs in special education and technology—and it also hosts the French Arabian Business School, offering an 18-month MBA in partnership with ESSEC. 
The university serves GCC nationals and Arabs resident in GCC countries seeking advanced education in medicine, education, and technology to support regional workforce development. It holds accreditation from the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) and is ranked by QS, with recognized collaborations with global organizations. In 2026 it launched the Gulf Medical Camp, reflecting ongoing expansion of its medical education and outreach.
