American Security is a privately owned security and investigations firm based in Greenville, South Carolina, founded in 1975 as an entrepreneurial start-up. It has grown into a sizable Southeastern security provider with a large security workforce. The company delivers security services for manufacturing, headquarters, healthcare, and commercial clients across Kentucky, Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, with an emphasis on consistent service that supports long-term partnerships.

Management and in-house capabilities include individuals with backgrounds in state law enforcement, the SC Highway Patrol, local agencies, and the FBI, offering investigative resources, risk evaluation and management, and personal protection for government and corporate officials. In 1997, the Greenville-based firm merged with ACI Janitorial and Action Staffing Services to form American Services, Inc., creating a full-service organization that also provides janitorial and staffing outsourcing, while remaining privately owned with founder Henry Harrison as chairman.
