American Metalcraft, Inc., founded in 1947 by Archer Kahn, is based in Franklin Park, Illinois, and operates in the retail office equipment space with a focus on food-service wares. It has grown from a 6,000-square-foot warehouse in Chicago to a facility exceeding 250,000 square feet, and it manufactures more than 2,000 items in-house. Leadership has remained within the Kahn family, with the third generation taking over in 1995 when David Kahn and Susan Kahn Bank assumed ownership. The company serves customers across all 50 states and more than 75 countries, supplying products for fine dining, catering, buffet service and pizza-related needs for restaurants, hotels, clubs and resorts. In 2018 Rich Packer was named president.
