American Citizens Abroad is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit focused on the needs of Americans who live and work abroad. It educates the U.S. government and overseas citizens on issues affecting this community and strives to develop practical, implementable solutions. With more than four decades of experience, the organization has established itself as a prominent resource on overseas citizen concerns and policy proposals that can be adopted.

Its primary audience comprises Americans abroad, while the organization also engages with U.S. policymakers to address these problems. In May 2024, ACA announced the appointment of Phil Levis as Assistant Treasurer of its Political Action Committee, a recent governance development.
