The American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) is an independent business association based in Tokyo, founded in 1948 by representatives of 40 American firms. It operates in the International Trade and Development sector, facilitating cross-border business activity and policy dialogue in Japan. The organization counts roughly 3,000 members from more than 40 countries and about 600 companies. Members participate through more than 60 committees, subcommittees, and advisory councils that set annual goals and organize hundreds of events across social, educational, cultural, and charitable activities. In 2024 ACCJ established a partnership with Venture Café Tokyo to support entrepreneur development through its Community Campus program.
