Based in Washington, DC, the Alliance to End Hunger is a nonprofit that works to mobilize a broad network of institutions to reduce hunger at home and abroad. Its membership includes corporations, nonprofit organizations, universities, individuals, and faith-based groups, totaling more than 85 members. The organization seeks to convert this diversity into public and political will by connecting partners and aligning efforts across sectors. Its programmatic work centers on creating strategic partnerships among members to expand their impact in addressing hunger, elevating hunger on policy agendas, and supporting community-driven initiatives through the Hunger Free Communities Initiative. The National Alliance Partnership Program provides capacity-building for Alliance members in six developing countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Malawi, and a sixth country in Latin America or the Caribbean. In 2022, DoorDash partnered with the Alliance and the Food Bank of Delaware to host a congressional staff briefing on Capitol Hill, illustrating collaboration with corporate and nonprofit partners.
