The Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders is a nonprofit, multidisciplinary trade association based in Bethesda, Maryland, serving the wound care community with a Washington DC focus. It unites physician specialty societies, clinical and non-clinical associations, patient organizations, and business entities to provide a collective voice on public policy issues that could affect patient access to wound care.

Its members rely on the Alliance to influence policy related to coverage, coding, and payment and to ensure their input is considered as these rules evolve. Its work covers modalities such as negative pressure wound therapy, cellular and/or tissue-based products for skin wounds, pneumatic compression devices, topical oxygen, and surgical dressings. A recent development is the August 1, 2023 launch of an Advocacy Action Center, created in response to final LCDs and LCAs to engage policymakers at CMS, MACs, and Capitol Hill.
