Allegheny County Library Association (ACLA) is a regional network of 45 independent libraries in the greater Pittsburgh area. Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the federation coordinates services across its member institutions to improve access to library resources for residents of Allegheny County. It operates within the libraries sector and relies on collaboration and coordination among members to extend public library services beyond individual locations. In December 2023, the association partnered with the University of Pittsburgh to establish a Library Social Work Fellowship program that brings social services directly to libraries. It has also expanded digital access with a free mobile app introduced in 2022 to help patrons manage accounts and search the catalog.
