Al-Farooq Masjid of Atlanta Inc. is a nonprofit, non-political religious organization headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1979, it functions as an umbrella for a network of Islamic institutions in the Atlanta area, coordinating worship, education, and community activities. The organization oversees five affiliated entities: Masjid Omar bin Abdul Aziz in Lilburn as a satellite mosque; Dar Un Noor Academy, an Islamic private school for Pre-K through 8th grade; Darul Uloom of Atlanta, the largest Hifz program in the state; Lovejoy Muslim Cemetery, the first Muslim cemetery in Georgia; and the Youth Center & Gymnasium, currently under construction. It relies on a small staff supplemented by volunteers and seeks additional involvement from individuals who can support its operations and religious initiatives.
