Al-Buhaira was established in 1978 under the decree of H.H. the Ruler of Sharjah. It is registered in the “Register of Insurance Companies” of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce Registration No. 15. Al Buhaira is a UAE Public Share Holding Company with a paid up capital of AED 250,000,000 and assets of over AED 1,528,000,000.

With effect from 16th February, 2005, Al-Buhaira National Insurance Co has been listed at the Abu Dhabi Securities Market and its share is now being traded as a premier stock. The company is in the process of implementing a well planned growth strategy to meet with the ever growing aspirations of our shareholders.
Al-Buhaira National Insurance Co’s track record in the industry has been consistently successful owning to the trust and confidence of our valued clients. The company has progressed very well over the past few years with premium income increasing from AED 24,000,000 in 1986 to AED 550,000,000 in the year 2007, an increase of around twenty three folds.
