AIDS Action Committee is a nonprofit organization focused on addressing HIV/AIDS through policy advocacy, prevention programs, and direct care services. It engages at city, state, and federal levels to shape AIDS-related policies and provides health and wellness support to people living with HIV. Founded in 1983 and based in Quincy, Massachusetts, it is New England’s largest AIDS service organization. It works directly with about one-in-six people diagnosed with HIV in the state and offers prevention services to thousands more, while also addressing related infections such as Hepatitis C. In 2013, the organization partnered with Fenway Health to coordinate care and broaden advocacy, prevention, and research efforts across both organizations.
