The Addison County Regional Planning Commission (ACRPC) is a small public policy organization based in Middlebury, Vermont, serving 21 towns in the Addison Region. It provides planning expertise, information, and a forum to discuss and resolve community needs and concerns, supporting cooperative planning among municipalities and area-wide interests. Established by the Vermont legislature as part of a statewide system of regional planning commissions, ACRPC aims to promote economic development, preserve the natural beauty of Vermont, improve government efficiency, and safeguard local autonomy in planning and development decisions. The commission relies on commissioners appointed by town selectboards who meet monthly and serve on at least one committee. Recent activities include launching a public survey for the Vergennes Planning and Environmental Linkages Study in partnership with VTrans and starting a series of Zoning Roundtable Discussions.
