Ace Ethanol LLC operates a corn ethanol facility in Stanley, Wisconsin, created by local investors to help local farmers capture added value from their corn harvest. Construction began in 2001, and the site added a carbon dioxide and dry ice byproduct line during ramp-up. By 2004 the facility reached about 30 million gallons of ethanol produced annually, and safety and continuous improvement have been ongoing priorities. In 2013 the company expanded by acquiring Utica Energy facilities in Oshkosh and Green Bay, along with a 52 MMgy plant added to its operations. It has pursued collaborations to advance cellulosic ethanol, including partnerships with Sweetwater Energy and D3Max to develop such projects at the Stanley site. In 2023, Ace Ethanol entered a biofuels offtake partnership with Murex LLC involving Ace Ethanol and Fox River Valley Ethanol in Oshkosh.
