Accura HealthCare is an Iowa-based healthcare company that manages and operates 50+ skilled nursing, long-term care, and senior housing communities in Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Nebraska. Accura embraces an upside-down organization philosophy that places residents, patients, and direct care employees at the very top of the organizational chart. In addition, Accura chooses not to be referenced as a corporate office, but rather as a Resource Center. The lower an employee is on the chart (thus having more leadership responsibility) the more responsibility they have to being a resource to those above them. Accura's upside-down organizational philosophy creates an upside-down triangle that is reflected in our company's logo. Also visible within the triangle of the logo is one person caring for another; this represents the meaning of the company name. "Accura" is Latin, meaning to take care of or to give attention to.
